What is SFE?

What is Stacking Fault Energy (SFE) of a lattice structure?

Answer: SFE is the difference in lattice energy between a faulty (stacking) structure (F) and a perfect structure of the same metal (P).

SFE = F - P.

What is overpotential?

What is overpotential in Electrochemistry? What is overpotential in Electrocrystallization?

Answer: Every pair of electrodes have a threshold potential to be activated, that is, to start the reactions. The overpotential is the extra potential applied on top of the threshold potential. So, the applied potential is always bigger than the overpotential.
Overpotential is usually important for the reactions' thermodynamics as this is the amount of potential reactions really affected.

What is Scmidt Number?

Schmidt number is a dimentionless number. It is the ratio of Viscosity and Mass Diffusivity. In other words, Schmidt number denotes how many times higher the value of the Momentum diffusivity from Mass diffusivity.

What is Karman Number?

What is Von Karman Number in Fluid Mechanics?

Answer:  Von Karman Number is the result of the multiplication of Reynolds Number and square root of Friction Factor.
